The award-winning New Lanark visitor centre tells the story of the cotton mill village of New Lanark, which was founded in the 18th century.
The centre, which is now a UNESCO world heritage site, has been beautifully restored as a living community, and welcomes tens of thousands of visitors each year from all over the world.
Visitors to the centre can explore the historic mill (including viewing working textile machinery), and travel back in time on the spooky Annie McLeod experience ride.
The centre is surrounded by extensive grounds, with native woodlands home to wildlife including kingfishers, otters, deer and badgers, and lucky visitors may even spot a rare peregrine falcon!
