After More Than 70 Years, WW2 Soldier's Photos Are Finally Developed

The Rescued Film Project aims to discover and rescue old and undeveloped film from all over the world and has restored hundreds of previously unseen photos dating between the 1930’s and the late 1990’s. At a recent auction, photographer Levi Bettweiser, the man behind the project came across his biggest find to date; 31 rolls of undeveloped film shot by a single soldier during World War II.

While the identity of the soldier is as yet unknown, many of the rolls of film were labelled with locations, including Boston Harbor, Lucky Strike Beach and LaHavre Harbor.
