Visit Scotland: Loch Lomond

As we travel further South, we reach the ‘bonnie banks’ of Loch Lomond – the Loch with the largest surface area in Scotland at 27.45 miles.
There are plenty of great days out to be had along the loch and if the weather is good, the beach at Luss is great for a paddle or a dip. Regular boat trips travel up and down the loch from various locations, while children will enjoy exploring the huge grounds of Balloch Castle Country Park.
Keen golfers can enjoy a round at the stunning 71-par Carrick course, set right on the banks of the loch.
