Doctor Who is back for another series, and on Saturday months of fan speculation were put to bed, when the little boy lost and alone in the battlefield was revealed to be a young Davros.
The pre-credit reveal of The Magician’s Apprentice will undoubtedly go down as one of the best in the show’s history and be talked about for years to come (even if many of us had guessed what was coming!).
Later in the episode Julian Bleach was back as Davros for the first time since 2008’s Journey’s End (when he faced up to David Tennant’s 10th Doctor) and gave another suitably menacing performance as the creator of the Daleks.
We can’t wait for part 2 (The Witch’s Familiar) and in the meantime, to fill the gap, thought we would take a trip down memory lane for a look at 5 of the best scenes between The Doctor and Davros from classic Who. Enjoy!
