This Is (Officially) The Most Expensive Photo In The World. Guess How Much It Just Sold For?

The photo above is called “Phantom” and has just sold for an incredible $6.5 Million! It was snapped by Australian landscape photographer Peter Lik and the incredible sum was paid by a private collector.
The eponymous “Phantom” is the ghost like figure in the image, which appears to be trapped inside a singe beam of light, stretching to the floor and the photograph was taken inside Arizona’s Antelope Canyon.
Lik now holds 4 of the top 20 spots for most expensive photographs ever, having previously sold photographs for $2.4 Million and $1.1 Million to the same collector.

“It is noteworthy that the sales of these photographic works denote another milestone in the development of fine art photography, as well as a new benchmark for the value of Peter Lik works,”
