5. Six Feet Under

Why It’s Perfect…

[adsense-inline]Often when a television series ends, there is no real sense of closure, with fans left wondering what happened to the characters they had become so involved with. Six Feet Under left its fans in no doubts whatsoever, as in an emotional masterstroke by the writers, the last six minutes of the finale show us the deaths of all of the main characters.
The ending begins with Claire getting into her car and putting on the song “Breathe Me” by Sia. As she heads down the highway to New York City we witness the deaths of Keith, Ruth, David, Federico, Brenda, and, finally, Claire herself.
Another tear jerker, which brings perfect closure to a great show.
